This project was personal to me, driven by my belief that Tiki Tail possessed an incredible atmosphere but had the potential to fully embrace its Tiki-inspired essence.
Understanding the multifaceted nature of Tiki Tail’s identity, my objective in redesigning their brand was to authentically convey this blend of tropical escapism, culinary excellence, and lively Loindon nightlife ambiance.

With a vision rooted in escapism, enjoyment, and culinary delight, Tiki Tail aspires to transport its patrons to a realm of Hawaiian allure amid the bustling heart of London. Beyond merely serving delicious and health-conscious cuisine alongside exotic cocktails, Tiki Tail aims to cultivate an ambiance that captures the essence of Hawaiian culture.
Tiki Tail embodies a lifestyle that seamlessly transitions from day to night—a vibrant restaurant scene during the day evolving into an unforgettable limbo-filled nightlife.
In my opinion, the previous logo of Tiki Tail exuded a “Great Gatsby” aesthetic and did not align with the Hawaiian/Tiki theme. Therefore, I designed a new logo that captures the essence of fun and uniqueness while staying true to the Hawaiian/Tiki concept.

The typography selection needed to maintain fidelity to the brand and its thematic essence. Therefore, I opted for the following fonts: Pampa Ray to uphold the theme, and Montserrat to ensure the overall brand content remained easily readable.

The primary colours had to be an obvious relation to the Hawaiian/tiki culture and getaway destinations; the places that people think of when they hear the word “tiki”. Turquoise for the sea along with the calm white, beige found on the frothy tips of sea waves and an orange sunset was my inspiration for colour.
To complement the primary colors, I found inspiration from the land rather than the sea. Specifically, I drew from the imagery of fruit, such as a pineapple, which evokes thoughts of tropical cocktails and conveys a sense of vacation on a beach getaway.
